Membership

Come Belong a part of the Stonepoint family

Membership at Stonepoint Church

At Stonepoint Church, we believe membership is an important step in the maturity of a follower of Jesus. The Bible teaches us that we are not designed to do life alone, but instead, to belong to a family where we can contribute in meaningful ways to grow God's Kingdom.

Because membership is a big commitment, we ask each person to take steps to discover more about what God says about our commitment to a church family. Below, our aim is to help you gain a better understanding of your next steps.

Take your next step

Discover how to become a part of the Stonepoint family

Step 1: Starting Point

To begin the Membership Process, please attend Starting Point to learn more about our mission,
vision, core values, and ways to get connected to our church in meaningful ways.

Step 2: Partnership

At Starting Point, you'll meet new people, our team, and hear from our Elders. If you decide to join our church,
we ask that you would complete our membership agreement and submit a brief written testimony.
If you are unable to attend a class in person, please contact us to arrange an in person meeting.

Step 3: Connection

We believe that biblical community is a clear emphasis in scripture for followers of Jesus.
Once a person commits to be a part of the Stonepoint family, we ask each person to connect with others
through a Journey Group to help with care and spiritual growth.

Membership Q&A

At Starting Point, you will have the opportunity to meet our Pastors and engage with the leaders at Stonepoint Church.

We’ll also share:

    • The mission, vision, values, and beliefs of our church.
    • What makes Stonepoint Church such a special place to be.
    • A better understanding of the commitment of church membership.
    • The ministries available to serve you and your family.
    • Ways you can serve others and connect to others in our church through groups.

At the end of the class, we help you take your next step.

This could include:

    • Becoming a part of the Stonepoint family.
    • Going public with your faith in Jesus through baptism.
    • Finding ways to connect through serving and a Journey Group.
    • Answers to specific questions you may have about our leadership structure, finances, and ministries.

In the simplest form, it’s a way for your pastors and leaders to know who is in the family, who needs care, and to help with spiritual growth. When we become a part of a church family, we each make a commitment to live out the truths of the scriptures with one another.

    • You profess to be a follower of Jesus.
    • You have been baptized by or are pursuing your next step in baptism.
    • You agree with our essential beliefs.
    • You affirm your commitment to others in our church family.
    • You will seek to serve others and belong to a journey group.
You can find our essential beliefs here.

After you have become a part of the Stonepoint family, you are encouraged to join a Journey Group.

At Stonepoint, our desire is to help that our members are a part of a Journey Group, where you will be known, loved, and encouraged to love Jesus fully. Journey Groups are where we study God’s Word, pray for one another, and encourage each other to practice “the one anothers” of scripture.
