Numbers 5-10

Wednesday, February 4, 2026 | Wyatt McBride

As I read Numbers 5–10, I noticed how many requirements the people had to follow just to remain connected to God. It made me thankful that we no longer have to jump through hoops to have a relationship with Him—our salvation is found in Jesus.

In Numbers 7, I was reminded that in God’s community, everyone benefits from the generosity of others. Brandon often challenges us as a church to serve those around us. Church, after reading this chapter, it’s clear that this call doesn’t just come from a pastor—it comes from God.

Life gets busy, and when things are hard, it’s easy to become focused on ourselves and miss opportunities to bless others. Caring for our families is important, but Jesus calls us to love God first and then love our neighbors.

Sometimes helping others feels difficult because our hearts are not fully aligned with Him.

Thank goodness we don’t have to bring gifts or make sacrifices to come to Jesus. He invites us to come as we are and allows Him to do the work of changing our hearts.

As He transforms us, our focus shifts from ourselves to others (Philippians 2:3–4). May we live as selfless servants, following the example of our Savior (Philippians 2:5–8).
