Esther 6-10
Monday, May 18, 2026 | Rheann Shaw
It is scary stepping into the unknown, into something we are unsure of and cannot see the outcome. That is exactly what Queen Esther did. Esther, being among the many beautiful young virgins being sought out for the king, became the woman the king loved more than all the others. With this love from the king came multiple unknowns for Esther and her people, the Jews.
God was writing Esther’s and the Jews’ story. Through every occurrence in the book of Esther, God was aligning the story. We see this throughout the book, from the moment of Queen Vashti’s refusal, Mordecai's refusal to bow to Haman, Esther's preparation of a banquet, and finally, Esther’s saving the Jews.
Every moment led to the next, uncovering the plan God had for Esther all along.
Even though Queen Esther could not see God’s whole plan laid out, God was in every detail.
The book of Esther is an exact representation of our lives. God is guiding and directing each of our paths, even if we cannot see His direction. God has a plan for us, no matter if it's embracing a new life out of high school, a career out of college, embracing parenthood, grandkids, or whatever it may be. The unknown can be scary, but God has a purpose for our lives, and He will use us to fulfill His purpose.
God uses all things for our good and His glory; we just need to obey His command. No matter how scary the unknown may be, God can, and does, work in the mess of our lives. God can use the faithfulness of an unlikely person to accomplish His purposes.
