Psalm 66

I love the Psalms. They are full of joy and sorrow—the highs of highs and the lows of lows. They remind us that God welcomes our praise, our questions, our celebrations, and our struggles. No matter where we find ourselves in life, the Psalms have a way of connecting deeply with the human experience.

Psalm 66 reminds me why we worship the God of the universe:

"Shout joyfully to God, all the earth! Sing about the glory of His name; make His praise glorious. Say to God, 'How awe-inspiring are Your works! Your enemies will cringe before You because of Your great strength. All the earth will worship You and sing praise to You. They will sing praise to Your name.'" (Psalm 66:1-4)

I especially love verse 3: "How awe-inspiring are Your works!" Have you ever stopped long enough to truly look around you? In the middle of busy schedules, responsibilities, and the constant pace of life, we often miss the beauty that surrounds us.

Take a moment. Breathe. Notice the sunrise, the changing seasons, the laughter of those you love, and the countless ways God reveals His creativity and care through His creation.
The psalmist doesn't stop at God's beauty; he immediately points to God's strength. The same God who created the wonder of the world around us is also powerful, faithful, and worthy of our trust

He is not distant or uninvolved. He is the sovereign King over all the earth, and one day every nation and every people will worship Him.

Today, slow down long enough to recognize the awe-inspiring works of God. Let His creation remind you of His greatness, His strength, and His goodness. Then respond the way the psalmist encourages us to—with worship, gratitude, and praise to the One who is worthy of it all.
